Worldwide, every two minutes a woman dies due to cancer cervix. And in Indonesia itself, each day is estimated that about 20 women die due to cancer cervix. Unfortunately, many people are still common with this disease.

To help disseminate education to the women about ways of prevention, Cancer Foundation Australia with five other advocates from the Asia Pacific region to join the coalition members Everything I Can. This coalition consists of the National Cancer Institute of Thailand, the National Cancer Society Malaysia, Taiwan Counter contagious Disease Society, and supported Dr. Gerry Wain of New South Wales Certivical Cancer Screening Program in Australia and Dr. Efren Domingo, Immediate Past President, Society of Gynecologic Oncologist of the Philippines.

“Through the coalition Everything I Do, we will increase awareness of women throughout Asia and in Indonesia about the danger of infection from the Human Papilloma virus (HPV) that can cause cancer serviks. Because now there are ways to help the prevention of disease,” said Chairman of the Public Cancer Foundation Adiati Arifin Siregar Indonesia, Jakarta, Saturday (20 / 6).

Although various efforts have been made to mengedukasi women and the general public about cancer serviks, but much less active people looking for information about prevention before they or someone they know terdiagnosa disease. While awareness is the first step for prevention.

“With motivate women to take precautions such as pap smears and vaccination against cancer serviks, it means that we help to fight cancer serviks that can endanger our families,” specifically.
